Bambu Studio is the native slicer software for Bambu Lab printers. Slicers like Bambu Studio convert a 3d file into machine code that is readable by the 3d printer. it allows you to change settings like where you want to object to print on the print bed, what type of filament you are using, and other support and strength settings.


Installing Bambu Studio

  1. Open Software Center on your computer
    1. Press the windows key on your keyboard
    2. Search for “software center”

  1. In Software Center, search for “bambu”, select Bambu Studio, and click install

  1. Launch Bambu studio

    1. Press the windows key on our keyboard
    2. Search for “bambu studio”
    3. right-click → Pin to Taskbar
    4. Click to run
  2. Setup Bambu Studio for the first time

    1. Click Get Started
    2. Click North America then Next
    3. Click Skip
    4. For printer selection, only select Bambu Lab P1S 0.4mm nozzle, uncheck everything else
    5. Click Next
    6. Below the green line, uncheck every filament except Bambu PLA Basic and Bambu PLA Matte
    7. Click Finish
    8. At the top-left click the down arrow next to Files
    9. Click Preferences
    10. Scroll down and enable Dark Mode
    11. Close

Preparing your File

  1. Go the the Prepare tab

  2. Drag and drop your file into the print area (.stl or .step)

  3. Double check your print settings

    1. Bambu Lab P1S 0.4mm nozzle
    2. Textured PEI Plate
    3. Bambu Lab PLA Basic

  1. If you part has overhangs, enable support

  1. Click Slice on the top-right
  2. Click the down arrow and select Export Plate to Sliced File

  1. Save the file to your sd card
